# Getting Applicants From the Wrong Area?

Applications from three states away almost always mean one thing: the job is set to **Remote**.

**Where:** In Classet, open the job and click **Edit Job Details**.

**What you should see:** A location field with your city and state, for example "Brentwood, TN".

**If it says Remote, or the location is blank:** Change it to the city where the work happens and save. Indeed shows a remote job to the whole country. Once the job has a city, new applications come from your area from that point on. Applications that already arrived stay in your list.

**If the location is already your city:** Reply here and tell us the job title. There's a second way to narrow by distance, using a location question that filters people out, and we'll walk you through it for that job.
