How does candidate filtering and assessment work?

Last updated: October 16, 2025

Our AI interview process is designed to focus on objective, deterministic criteria – never on subjective scoring or rankings.

The “Qualifying Task” section of each interview reinforces key dealbreaker questions already found in your application form. For example, it helps confirm critical details like valid driver’s licenses, work authorization, or shift availability, especially when candidates’ written answers and spoken responses differ.

Here’s how it works:

  • If a candidate fails a qualifying question, their status is updated to a stage of your choice (e.g., “AI Missing Requirements”).

  • A human recruiter always makes the final decision on whether to advance or reject a candidate. This is the required “human-in-the-loop” safeguard.

  • Classet does not rank or score candidates on subjective qualities such as tone, personality, or perceived fit – areas that could introduce bias or compliance risk.

Instead, Classet provides a structured candidate summary that surfaces key insights from the conversation, such as relevant experience, availability, or motivation for applying. These insights allow hiring managers to make faster, informed, and fair decisions while maintaining full compliance.
