Not Getting Applicants? Run This Checklist

Do these one at a time, in order. Each one says exactly where to go, what you should see, and what to do if you don't see it. Stop at the first one that fixes it. Checks 1 and 2 are in Classet. Checks 3 to 6 are on Indeed's website, not in Classet.

Check 1: Is your candidate list hiding them?

Where: In Classet, open the Candidates page from the left menu.

What you should see: Under the search box, a button showing a date range, for example Jun 12 – Sep 10. Next to the search box it says how many candidates are in that range, for example "1–6 of 6 in date range".

If the range doesn't reach back far enough: Click the date range button and widen it. Applicants who arrived before the range are hidden, not missing.

If you now see candidates: That was it. You're done.

Check 2: Is Indeed connected to Classet?

Where: In Classet, go to Settings → Integrations.

What you should see: Indeed showing Connected, your Source Name (for example "Brightline HVAC of Central Ohio"), and the number of active jobs.

If it says Not connected or Disconnected: Click Connect and sign in with the Indeed account that owns your employer profile. After reconnecting, give Indeed a few hours and run Check 3. If the job still isn't on Indeed after that, reply here with the job title.

If it's connected: Copy the Source Name exactly as written. You need it for Check 3.

Check 3: Does Indeed show your job at all?

Where: On Indeed's website, not in Classet. Go to employers.indeed.com, sign in with your employer account, and open the Jobs tab.

What you should see: Your job in the list. Open it: under the title there's a line reading Job Source: [your Source Name], matching Check 2 exactly.

If the job isn't in the list: Indeed hasn't linked your job source to your account yet. This is the most common cause on newer Indeed accounts, and nothing was lost. Open the chat on that same Indeed page and say: "I need the job source [your Source Name] claimed by my [account owner email] account. The jobs are coming from Classet, our ATS." It usually takes a few minutes. Full walkthrough: Getting Your Jobs to Show on Indeed.

If the Job Source line shows a different name: Indeed linked a different source, often another brand or location you own. Ask the same chat to move the source to this account.

If the job is there and the source matches: Move to Check 4.

Check 4: Is the job Active, or Flagged?

Where: On Indeed's website: employers.indeed.com → Jobs tab, then find your job's row.

What you should see: Status Active.

If it says Flagged: Job seekers can't see it. Open the job. If Indeed shows "must be sponsored to go live", click Sponsor now and add a budget. Some franchise brands have an exclusive arrangement with Indeed, so every job from any other system needs sponsorship. Sponsor a Job on Indeed covers setting the budget.

If it says Rejected: Sponsoring won't help. Open the job to see what Indeed objected to, change that in Classet, and publish the job again.

Check 5: Did applications dry up after a strong start?

Where: On Indeed's website: employers.indeed.com → Jobs tab, open your job and look at the posted date and the applicant count.

What you should see: Applications continuing week over week.

If it started strong and then faded: That's the pattern of an unsponsored job. Unsponsored listings drop down Indeed's search results within days of posting. Add a sponsorship budget, even a small one, to keep it visible.

Check 6: Is another tool also posting this job?

Where: On the job seeker side of Indeed: go to indeed.com and search your job title and company name.

What you should see: One listing for your job.

If you see two: Another system (a previous recruiting tool, an ATS, a franchise-wide feed) is also sending it, and Indeed can suppress duplicates. Turn off posting in the other tool. Only one source should send each job.

Still nothing?

Reply with the job title and location. We'll look at the posting's performance data on our side and either find the cause or give you Indeed's support contact, since Indeed controls its own search ranking and some fixes are only possible there.
